

My Story
The name Asai carries a quiet reverence, inspired by the essence of universal love and compassion - qualities embodied by many great teachers of love, service and peace, including Sai Baba. It reflects the guiding spirit of my work: to create a space where mind, body, and soul find balance and renewal.

I am a Jikiden Reiki Practitioner, Sound Healer and Hypnotherapist… and a full-time carer for my daughter for the last 26 years.

Everything I currently practice and offer to my clients has not only helped my daughter but has also helped me as a carer. I know first-hand how lonely caring can be - and the toll it can take on our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. I created Asai Healing Therapies as a space for carers, where they can be understood in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

My Journey: From Burnout to Balance
As a carer, my biggest challenge over the years wasn't the unrelenting exhaustion, sleep deprivation, or lack of time for myself (though all of that was tough) - it was guilt.
Guilt for things I did and didn't do. Guilt for asking for support, especially when I needed to take time out for myself - even just to sit for 10 minutes or go for a walk. I felt I needed to do it all, all the time.
This continued until I was completely burnt out, with nothing left to give. I ended up with anxiety and depression.
That's when I decided to turn things around. I realised that if I didn't look after myself, my daughter and family would struggle if something happened to me. As the saying goes, you can't pour from an empty cup.

I started with small steps - asking for help, just for short periods so I could sit. When I realised that everything didn't collapse, those short periods became longer. I made time for walks and massages. I discovered holistic therapies, which I now credit not only for my recovery but also for what I do now.
Therapies like Reiki and Sound Healing allowed me to carry out my duties as a carer from a more grounded and positive perspective.
That lived experience is at the heart of everything I do.
A Sanctuary for Healing
I created Asai Healing Therapies as a sanctuary for caregivers and anyone feeling overwhelmed - a safe, nurturing space to pause, breathe and restore harmony.
Through Hypnotherapy, Sound Therapy and Jikiden Reiki, I help people:

Supporting Women Through Menopause
Over time, my work has naturally expanded to support women through menopause - a stage of life that affects every layer of wellbeing.
Through hypnotherapy, sound therapy and mind-body techniques, I help women:

Ease menopause symptoms (hot flushes, anxiety, sleep disturbances)

Reconnect with themselves during this deeply transformative phase
I also offer company-wide online and in-person menopause awareness sessions to help organisations support their staff through this life stage with understanding and compassion.

Corporate Wellbeing Support
Alongside my one-to-one sessions, I partner with organisations to bring meaningful wellbeing support into the workplace.
This includes:

Monthly in-person wellbeing days featuring Sound Therapy, Reiki, and mind-body reset sessions

Company-wide menopause awareness sessions (online or in-person)

Restorative workplace sessions that help employees return to their day with more clarity, calm and focus
These sessions give staff a restorative pause in the middle of busy schedules, supporting mental health, reducing stress and improving overall workplace wellbeing.

A Little About Me
I'm a mum first, and much of my world has revolved around caring for my daughter for the last 26 years. I'm based in Hertfordshire and love long walks (with my very cheeky dog, Truffle), especially when I need to clear my mind.
I enjoy sound baths, meditation and cooking vegetarian food. I also love exploring anything connected to energy, intuition and spiritual growth - it's a big part of my personal life as much as my work.

If You're New to Holistic Therapies…
It's completely OK to feel unsure. You don't need to know anything beforehand, and you definitely don't have to believe in anything for it to work. You just come as you are.
My role is to help your body and mind settle enough for you to feel the shift yourself. Holistic therapies aren't about trying hard or getting it right; they're about allowing your system to soften, release, and remember its natural balance.
We go at your pace, one step at a time.
